story
The film begins with a crutch-wielding Krishna (Suriya) coming
to Mumbai to locate his brother. He visits a few places where his brother's
acquaintances could be found and learns that his brother Raju (also Suriya) is
Raju Bhai to the people of the city. He then meets Karim Bhai (Joe Malloori),
who reveals that Raju and Chandru (Vidyut Jamwal) were inseparable friends who
were gangsters with growing clout and were well-respected and feared even
though they weren't big time dons. As they start getting popular in the
underworld, their list of enemies too grows. A new police commissioner then
decides to clean the city and kills a few men from their gang for which Raju
Bhai retaliates by kidnapping the commissioner's daughter, Jeeva (Samantha Ruth
Prabhu) and subsequently they fall in love. Things go well until Raju and
Chandru invoke the wrath of Imran Bhai (Manoj Bajpai) an underworld don and a
bigger criminal than them. A twist in the tale takes place when Chandru is
murdered in a ghastly manner and a clueless Raju who goes in search of the
killers is also trapped. Who killed Chandru? Who is Krishna? What happened to
Raju and Jeeva's love? What happened to Raju himself? How Krishna, upon hearing
his brother's story, unravels these mysteries and settles scores forms the rest
of the story.
